About Us

Commutech have been trading on-line since 2004 
specialising in new, surplus, re-boxed and refurbished telephones and consumer 
electronics for home and business.

We offer quality items at prices far cheaper than the high street and other 
online retailers.

We also operate an a online shop which has a greater range of products including 
spare parts and replacement batteries etc.

Every graded item item is professionally tested in our workshop facility and 
refurbished as required.


We also give at least 6 months warranty on our refurbished items unlike some other eBay sellers who only give 30 days or less.
Each of our items grade and packaging details are given under the "Item Specifics" section of our listings.

Please take a moment to read this information when comparing our items before 
bidding or buying as they may not all be the same.

Because we buy our products in bulk and have relatively low overheads we can 
pass these savings onto you.

Delivery

We take great care packaging every item to ensure 
safe shipment to you.

Postage and handling charges are only to cover our costs of packing materials, 
transport and associated labour.

Once your order has been processed and we have received cleared funds your item 
will normally be despatched within 24 hours Monday - Friday (excluding bank 
holidays).

If there are any specific postage instructions such as holiday notices on the 
listing or the shop then they will take precedence.

Please allow 5 working days if you are paying by cheque for clearance.

You will receive email confirmation when payment has been received and when your 
goods have been despatched.

We use Royal Mail and couriers to deliver our goods and tracking information 
will is available for items sent via Royal Mail Tracked and Special Delivery 
upon request.

On occasions we may use other courier services depending upon your location and 
the size of your order.

Returns/Warranty

We offer a 14 day money back guarantee on all or 
items in the event that you are unhappy with your purchase.

We pride ourselves on our customer service and in the event that you have a 
problem with your item please contact us and we'll be happy to help.



To return an item under the 14 Day Returns Policy:-



Contact us via the eBay messaging system, Ebay item returns procedure or email 
quoting your invoice / item number and the reason for return.

we will first try to resolve the problem via email or phone but if this is not 
possible we will ask you to return the item at your expense.

We can not be held responsible for goods lost or damage in transit back to us so 
please make sure you have suitable cover for the item and proof of posting. 

Upon receipt of the item, we will check it and subject to it being complete and 
in an acceptable condition, issue you with a full credit for the item cost.

Please note we will not refund the carriage charges unless the reason for return 
is due to the item being faulty or an omission in the listing information.



Faulty Item Warranty Procedure:-



All items that are not brand new or factory refurbished are rigorously tested 
and inspected before being offered for sale.



In the unlikely event of your item developing a fault during the warranty period 
the following procedure will apply :-



Contact us via the eBay messaging system, Ebay item returns procedure or email 
quoting your invoice / item number with as much information on the fault as 
possible.

If we can not resolve the problem via e-mail or phone then we will either issue 
a replacement part where practical or request you return the item to us at your 
expense.

We can not be held responsible for goods lost or damaged in transit back to us 
so please make sure you have suitable cover for the item and proof of posting.



Upon receiving the item we will fully test it to identify and confirm the fault.


Faulty items covered under our warranty will be either repaired or exchanged 
subject to stock or a full refund, including postage costs, will be offered.

Items found not to be faulty will be returned at the customer's cost or 
re-stocked, a 10% handling may be deducted from any refund for re-stocking and 
the carriage costs will not be refunded.

Items found to be damaged by mis-use will not be refunded and will be returned 
if requested at the customer's cost.

Batteries are considered consumable items and are covered for 90 days from 
invoice date.

Please note that warranty is provided by ourselves and not the equipment 
manufacturer or their agents unless stated otherwise.

Product Grades

Goods are returned by customers to 
shops, online traders and mail order catalogues every day for various reasons 
such as being under the merchant's 14 -16 day money back policy, the item is 
unwanted or suspected to have a fault.

Items are also returned to the manufacturer by high street stores and catalogues 
for such things as box damage, missing parts or if it has been a display item.

These goods pose a problem to manufacturers and they often do not find it cost 
effective to sort the goods themselves.

Manufacturers often contract out the job of recovering revenue from these 
products to other companies.

Obviously there is a big emphasis on re-selling as many of these goods as 
possible and disposing of any scrap items in the best way as to protect the 
environment.



We purchase a wide range of items some of which are brand new surplus stock and 
others are returns as described above.

All products that are not brand new or factory refurbished are checked in our 
workshop. This involves testing using specialist test equipment by trained 
electronics engineers to ensure the products are fully functional and complete 
and graded depending upon their cosmetic condition.

Some items are refurbished by the manufacturer, but can not be sold "as new", so 
these are classed as "Factory refurbished".



Q. Why buy graded goods?



A. Graded goods offer excellent value for money often being half the price or 
less than you would have to pay in the high street or online for the item "brand 
new".

Most of our products are in ex-display condition which is divided into two 
grades A & B.

We do occasionally have C grade items for sale, these are generally "Clearance 
items" and the exact details will be specified in the product description.

User guides may not be included for some items however we will always state this 
on the listing and provide details on how to obtain a copy.

These items are in 'as new' 
		condition with no noticeable cosmetic marks.

B Grade
      
These items are in overall very 
		good condition, but will have some minor cosmetic marks such as 
		scratched or rub marks. These are normally due to the item being used 
		for a shot period of time or caused by poor packaging when the item has 
		been in transit.
    
    
 
      
C Grade
      
These are used items with 
		signs of general wear and tear such as scratches and rub marks.
    
  





Packaging
Our items are supplied in their 
original box wherever possible however sometimes the box will be missing or 
damaged so these will be repackaged in a plain box.

We will state wherever possible on the listing whether the item is picture 
boxed, picture boxed with replacement internal packing or plain boxed.

This can be helpful if you are purchasing the item for someone else as a gift 
etc.
