Pewter Tips

All North Country’s items are made from the finest pewter and will last if looked after. Please follow these simple instructions to maintain your buy:

·        Always wash spirit flasks and tankards inside using a solution of clean, warm water and several drops of liquid dish detergent and then rinse thoroughly with clean water before first use.

·        Pewter items are not suitable for use in a dishwasher. Pewterware has a low melting point and should not be used in conjunction with any type of stove or other heating source.

·        Do not keep alcohol in spirit flasks for more than a period of 3 days. Pewter flasks are also not suitable for use with soda water or any carbonated drinks.

Remember; if you have bought an item as a decorative piece or gift try to avoid finger marks by pick the item up by the handle (quaich bowls and tankards) or lid (flasks). 

Packaging

All paid for items are wrapped up in soft packaging material within the presentation box specified in the description. Presentation boxes are then wrapped in more soft material and placed within a rigid cardboard box (or jiffy bag for very small items). Items are package tightly, as not to rattle.

Be assured all items are packaged to the highest standards, and under no circumstances are corners cut to save money.

Postage

All items are posted within 1-2 days of buyer’s payment clearing with PayPal or the bank. Sorry, items are not posted at weekends.

All items are delivered first class (unless stated otherwise) with the Royal Mail (see POSTAGE PRICES at page foot) this usually takes:

·        1-2 working days to anywhere in the UK

·        5-7 working days anywhere worldwide

The Royal Mail has provided a good service and virtually all items do arrive within this time frame. If an item does not arrive within 4-working days (7-working days for international buyers) please contact me, and I will deal with the problem.
