A rare vintage poster stamp depicting a modernist hairdryer by Peter Behrens for AEG, c.1910 Very good conditon indeed. The design on the front of the stamp is very clean and bright with no marks. There's a tiny amount of edgewear. A rare original poster stamp depicting a true icon of Twentieth Century design and the Modern Movement. It's no exaggeration to describe Peter Behrens' appointment as artistic director of AEG in 1907 as a turning point in design history; it was the first time a major international company had employed a single designer to advise on all aspects of its corporate identity, accommodation and output. Besides creating new premises for the company - including the Turbine Factory, itself a landmark of modernism - he devised a new range of groundbreaking and consciously forward-looking domestic and industrial electrical products, including lighting, clocks, table fans and tea kettles.
