An original hand painted tribute  portrait to Pete Doherty.

It is on a top quality gallery style  chunky canvas and measures 30x30 inches. It can be hung as it is or framed to suit your decor. It is painted around the sides too so that a frame is not needed.  

It was painted by  the collectible and internationally selling artist Rob Lee.
 

No black paint was used in this painting; instead multiple layers of burnt umber and pthalo blue are painted over each other until sufficient  depth of colour is achieved to give a vibrant dark tone that looks black......but is not 'flat'. This takes time but the result is worth it. From differing angles and in differing lights the "dark" tone has an attractive blue sheen due to this "optical mixing" technique.

You will find other canvas art for sale that are actually photographs that have been digitally manipulated to look like original paintings, hence the ''seller'' can start with a very low auction price. All my works are painstakingly hand painted and so I have to start at a reasonable opening price.

The painting would be  wrapped in bubble wrap, encased in a double walled cardboard box specially made for the job,( and insured). It can be delivered anywhere in the world, see p&p details. I have dispatched many paintings to the USA......all arrived in perfect condition because they are packaged so well.

Lastly, with MY paintings 'what you see is what you get', I take a set of photos for each individual painting (because they all have unique qualities). Take a look at some other pop artists and it is apparent that they paint to order; meaning that they only start painting after the auction ( what you get, may not necessarily be what you saw)
