Paul Gunn English School Floral Still Life Oil Painting

Description: An excellent still life, oil on artist's canvas, signed "Paul Gunn", and dated '71 and framed - approx 30 X 35 inches (76.2 X 88.9cm). This is an excellent English School oil dating from the late 20th Century period. The still life depicts a fabulous array of British garden flowers against a green / brown ground having rich autumnal hues. A floral glazed pot holds the cascading spray of flowers having the rich copper, yellow and white colours of chrysanthemums, daisies and carnations, all beautifully painted, the artist having used thick oils in areas to creat depth and texture. A fine quality classic English School still life painting. The work is signed and dated lower right - "Paul Gunn", '71.

Framing: Contemporary plain moulded Pine. Finish: Gilt. The oil is mounted on a stretcher.

Condition: The painting is in excellent original condition. The frame has one or two minor marks consistent with age.
