The follow on book to Pattern Magic Vol. 1, like in the first book, this Vol 2 shows how Designers developed their innovative ideas into real garments. If you have knowledge of pattern drafting, you'll be in awe of the designs in this book, starting with the basic blocks, patterns are then slashed and manipulated to create various 3-D forms and clever features. Showing mostly avant garde 3-D designs of necklines, cowl necks, sleeves and 'disappering' details of collars, neck tie & pocket! These special features are 'grown on' to the main pattern piece and have minimum pattern pieces.

     Lots of inspirations here. You'll be shown how to achieve the designs here and more from step by step drawings but are not shown how to make up the garment. So you MUST be a competent pattern cutter in order to use this book. A total of 22 great designs.

    Text in Japanese ONLY. Printed on the back of the book are 1/2 scale bodice blocks, these are Japanese sizes, they are approx US size 00 - size 6.
