Up for aution is a pair of NOS (boxed with instructions) Electrostatic tweeters. At a guess they are 50's/ 60's as the included information discusses integrating them into a valve radio, and generating the polarising voltage from the existing HT supply. I think they are rated at around 2 watts (however if they are only used above 10kh this figure is deceptivly low).
They are ideal for upgrading existing speakercabs, and require at maximum of 300v for the polarising voltage (compared to the tens of thousands required for full range systems). I have built two supertweeter pods that sit ontop of my main speakers, each with an array of two of these ESL panels in, with sound superb and really enhance the detail above 10k.
There is loads of info on the web about ESLs, and these are comparitivly asscesable solution however the voltages involved are still very dangerous.
There are another two pairs in my other auction, so it is possible to build arrays if you were to choose to buy multiple pairs.
Any questions please ask.
