Pair of Edwardian Breakfront Bookcase ca 1900
This beautiful rare antique pair of Edwardian breakfront library bookcases each has a breakfront moulded cornice with a beautiful carved frieze, a decorative urn centre and three glazed doors with fine moulded glazing bars and each interior has adjustable shelves, original silk linings and brass curtain rails. The lower section has a breakfront top above three oak lined drawers with original ornate brass handles, decorative drawer fronts, three cupboard doors with moulded edges and each interior has one removable shelf. Each bookcase stands on a breakfront moulded plinth, has some keys and working locks, has a few minor old veneer repairs, is a rich medium / dark mahogany colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
Each bookcase splits into three sections for ease of removals.
