A very attractive pair of inkwells believed to date around 1910.
They are both identical and feature stunning multi faceted stoppers of the design often seen on decanters of the period.
The top of the inkwells are octagonal and the section between the main bottle and the neck is ribbed.
The bottom of each inkwell is concave. Each inkwell measures 3 inchs tall including the stoppers and 2 and a quarter tall without. The width across the bottom is 1 and 3 quarters of an inch.
The only damage is to the stopper of one and only then to the bottom of the part that sits inside the neck. Its not bad and has no missing glass just small cracks to the bottom third. Its quite solid and not about to shatter and most importantly doesnt show or detract when the stopper is in the inkwell and doesnt show at all unless you look close up.
A very nice pair that ought to accompany a period writing box or desk stand.
