Payment
We are pleased to accept
payment by Paypal, we also accept personal cheques from UK buyers in pounds
sterling. We prefer buyers from outside the UK to pay by Paypal but will
also accept payment by bankers draft in pounds sterling or bank transfer.
Items are not shipped until we are in receipt of cleared funds.
Postage and
Insurance
We ship worldwide, if
shipping costs are not quoted to your country please e-mail for a cost. Shipping costs quoted
in the listing are for
priority airmail from France with online tracking included for all
items over 2kg. Optional insurance is available on most
of our items. It is
not available on items under 2kg although prices to
upgrade to insured/trackable shipping are available on request.
Optional insurance does not cover glass but
does cover for loss in transit. Economy shipping rates are also available to
countries outside Europe, the latter does not have tracking and has no
option to include insurance.
Packaging
All items are professionally packed in double wall
cardboard boxes, for further protection we use polystyrene chips,
bubble-wrap and sometimes shredded paper. Where possible we use re-cycled
cardboard boxes although most of our larger chandeliers are shipped in new
purpose made cardboard boxes. Postage and packaging charges are kept to a minimum but we
do include a small charge in our shipping prices for the cost of packaging
materials, this is usually less than it actually costs us!
Sometimes it is necessary to partially
dismantle a chandelier for packaging, if we do this printed instructions
will be provided for re-assembly.
Returns We describe all our items as
accurately as possible. In the unlikely event we have mis-described an item
we will refund you in full upon safe return of the item. We pack all our
items extremely well and damage is a very rare occurance. If an item is
damaged we will send replacement parts free of charge or refund you upon
safe return of the item to us. If an item is damaged please contact us
immediately before returning it. We do not refund the cost of return
shipping.
Wiring
The majority of our lights or
chandeliers are re-wired but some may be original or have been partially
re-wired, please check the individual item description. Items which have
been re-wired are completed to UK standard with three-core BS wire to the
central column. They are earthed and ready to hang. All our lights are in
working order but in common with all antique/vintage lighting they must be
professionally tested for electrical safety before use.
Light bulbs are not supplied
with any of our lights.
