The Company that I use who prints these panels has been formed to faithfully reproduce historic textiles, be they tapestries, embroidery or jacquard wovens.
The printing technology available allows the company to copy with extraordinary accuracy the patina and colours of these exquisite pieces, and yet to offer the resulting fabrics at affordable prices.
Such is the quality of the printed reproductions that historic houses and museums commission this Company to copy masterpieces to display when the original is unavailable, due either to restoration or on loan to an exhibition.

You are bidding on 2 Cushion Covers. These are 17" square approx accent cushion covers. They have been made from these exquisite masterpieces reproduced on top quality scottish linen. They have been piped and backed in a quality contrasting linen and are zipped for easy removal for cleaning. These cushion covers are fully lined!
This picture has been taken from a Gobelins tapestry from a series of eight entitled "La Nouvelle Tenture des Indes", designed by Francois Desportes circa 1731, and based on an earlier set woven for Louis XIV in Paris. This panel is dated 1788 and signed by the Scottish Master-Weaver James Neilson who introduced many innovations to the Gobelins factory.
If you would like the inners for these as well, you will need 20" square manmade or feather. If buying the inners at the same time, save on the postage costs of the covers, you only pay the postage cost for the inners. For UK only I have set up 3 different postage options, the first is for the covers only, the second is for the covers and manmade inners and the third is for the covers and duck feather inners.

UK Residents : The preferred method of payment is Paypal or Credit Card. For all auction items paid for by the above, goods are normally sent out on the same day or next postal day. However, during busy periods this may take a bit longer. I also accept uncrossed postal orders.
Outside UK : I ONLY accept Paypal or Credit Cards. Unfortunately, I am unable to accept personal cheques from outside the UK as bank charges are very expensive.

Please note that a certificate of postage is obtained from the Post Office for all items sent. Once the goods have been posted they are no longer my responsibility. If you want insurance then please ask as this is additional.
For all larger orders to the UK which will be sent by Courier, a telephone number will be requested, please provide this if buying complete cushions. Also please note that a signature is required on delivery. If the parcel is returned to me as a failed delivery, then unfortunately you will be charged the postage cost again.
For all International large deliveries they will be sent via Fed-Ex.
Please make contact within 3 days of the auction ending and payment to be received no later than 7 days after the end of the auction. Thank You. Please note that non-payers will be left negative feedback.
All cushions / covers are made to an extremely high professional standard. All seams are fully overlocked to prevent fraying. We supply the highest standard of cushion inners which are all to the highest safety standards.
Please note that all cushions, doorstops etc are handmade by Designer-Cushions and are not bought in or manufactured by the fabric design house, i.e. Laura Ashley, Romo, Cath Kidston etc.
