Peter, Ann and William Bateman Georgian Sterling Silver Salts Made at the Bunhill Row Workshop, London, in 1802. A Superb RARE matched pair of Georgian Sterling Silver Salts. Made in London, in 1802. Two Charming Boat Shaped Salts. Very well engraved decoration with some charm. Two central cartouche one side blank the other very rubbed possibly EW in script. Both sit flat. Large enough to use as hot or piquant sauce pots. Certainly of great interest to Bateman collectors as conditon very good and pillar salts in this shape very Rare. The upper rim a heavy interlocking wheat design. All good. So there you have it a good pair of salts in good order by the great bateman dynasty of Georgian silversmiths. Good enough for the best collections or the best dining table. Condition: The Marks: Well Struck. The Salts: Very good. No splits, dents or repairs.. Hallmarks:
