Ptychodus anonymus This gorgeous yet unusual rare tri-coloured tooth is from an extinct species of shark whose dentition was highly specialised for crushing shell fish. The tooth is quite lovely and highly ornamented. It has great detail with wonderful dark brown/olive coloured crown, root intact and shiney enamel, being a chunky 9mm in height and 13mm across. It is Late Cretaceous age circa 80 million years old and comes from the Arcadia Park Formation, Kamp Ranch Member of The Colony, Texas, USA. FULL PROVIDENCE, found 4th July 2006.
