Proving Disability and Reasonable Adjustments: A Worker's Guide to Evidence under the DDA by Tamara Lewis This item is a real book as shown in the picture - not a PDF or downloadable document. The photo shows the actual book you will receive. This Guide, produced by the respected Central London Law Centre, looks at how to go about proving that different conditions meet the legal definition of Disability under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. The general guidance is followed by a series of detailed examples focussing on common disabilities, as well as those which are likely to be particularly difficult to prove due to prejudice around their effects, e.g. RSI, ME, depression and migraine. This Guide also sets out the law on reasonable adjustments and provides examples of appropriate adjustments and sources of further ideas. The book is aimed at advisers, but it is entirely suitable for the layperson with an interest in the law or someone pursuing a claim under the Disability Discrimination Act. The Guide only looks at the treatment of disabled people at work, but many of the principles will equally apply in other areas covered by the DDA, including the provision of services. The Guide is in very good condition. There is only one copy, so when its gone, its gone. Please ask for postage costs before bidding if you would like this item delivered outside mainland UK. |
