For those new to Reborns and OOAK's or my Precious~Dreams babies, my name is Ruth, I am a military wife and mother to 5 fantastic children, I am a long standing Artist within the World of Reborn and OOAK Babies, I have been offering my babies for adoption now since 2003 and have adopted out over 280 babies to happy new Mums.

I am a Master Artist Tutor on the Simply Reborn Ltd. online classes, established in 2003 and having had over 1000 Reborn Artists pass through our classes. We have a great team of Master Artists offering their knowledge and guidance to our members. I LOVE to help other achieve their goals in the wonderful Art of Reborns.

In 2007 I was one of the Judges for the IDEX Reborn Competition in the USA, this was a great honour, I was also selected as one of only three Judges for the Colliii Awards 2009. Precious~Dreams babies have appeared in several Magazines including having the FIRST Reborn front cover for Discover Dolls Magazine.

This is the first kit that has been produced from an Annie Kiely OOAK, the detail in this kit is amazing! Ashley also has one leg which is extremely bent which makes curling him up so easy and very realistic. Ashley was on display at the *Discover Dolls International Doll Show on the 18th October, so if you were at the Doll Show you may have already met this sweet baby:O)

Baby Ashley really does look and feel like a real Newborn baby, I have used authentic Newborn colouring for his skin, so he does look very newborn. I have given Ashley the most beautiful mottled baby skin tones, with a multitude of very subtle blotches and baby blemishes, veining, capillaries, milkspots and birth marks, whilst maintaining a beautiful soft complexion.  

You can not help, but look at this sweet Newborn baby and be fooled into thinking he is real! I am confident that he will bring years of pleasure to his new Mum or Dad, but it is going to be hard to Kiss Ashley goodbye.

Baby Ashley  has my classic Precious Non-Painted look.

All of the colour you see is contained within the vinyl surface, not painted inside, but painted on the outside in such micro thin layers of paint. The technique I use allows the paint to actually soak into the vinyl surface.

 I then cured it to give such an authentic look and feel to the skin.  I have taken some really close shots of  Mathew's detailing, You would not see this close with the naked eye, but I wanted you to see the beautiful detail in this baby's skin!

His lips have been realistically coloured and then sealed with a satin varnish for durability.

Ashley  has beautiful Painted hair, I have always painted my OOAK Preemie sculpts and always loved the effect and illusion of very fine down like hair. Each strand of hair is individually painted to give a real sense of depth.

I know painted hair is not to everyone’s taste, but it really does have to be seen to appreciate the realism it portraits. I still love rooting, but am swaying more towards the painted hair with each baby I create. Ashley has a light brown shade of hair which has been carefully painted to include those beautiful soft *down* like hairs that new babies often have.

Ashley has mouth blown glass eyes in a beautiful shade of blue, I didn't feel the need for eyelashes on this sweet baby as I wanted him to look as newborn as possible, but I would be happy to apply these should his new Mum or dad want them:) I have framed his eyes with very delicate hand painted eyebrows.

Ashley has a German made *Ruby Hues* doe suede body, with cotter pin jointed shoulders and hips which make posing him, a real pleasure.

He is filled with a combination of glass beads and faux fleece; which make him extremely soft and cuddly. His limbs are weighted with ultra granule glass beads making Baby Ashley the most life like and balanced babe.
