35mm SLR Camera

 In 1970 VEB Pentacon launched the Praktica L screw mount range of cameras of which this model is the 5th generation. This range continued to be produced until German re-unification in 1990 and featured a notable departure from previous Praktica cameras in the exceptionally well engineered vertical focal-plane shutter. The Praktica L shutter was first used in the Pentacon Super and in the Exakta RTL1000 and its reliability is testament to the quality of the engineering.
