The  Cyclic and High Rate discharge batteries differ from standard VRLA models in several ways, the lead plates are made to a different formula and the shape of the grids is also different, when compared with those found in standard VRLA batteries. By introducing other metal additives, the lead plates are physically stronger whilst the different grid shape ensures excellent conductivity.
