The fact that there are no CFC refrigerants used in this air cooler makes this unit far more environmentally friendly than standard air conditioning units. It is healthier too as there is no re-circulated stale air being used unlike standard units, which use compressors and are very noisy and expensive to run (this unit has a max rating of 70w).
