Steel engraving on paper by John Rapkin from a  series of highly decorative maps originally published in TALLIS’S ILLUSTRATED ATLAS  circa 1850. The map has some original outline hand colour, augmented with very attractive later wash and measures approx. 335 x 260 mm. There are vignette views of local interest. Unfolded as published, faint manuscript pagination to margin, generally in good condition. A guaranteed genuine antique map.
