POLECONOMY

THE POWER GAME

By Woodrush Games

For 2 to 6 players

Aged 12 to Adult

POLECONOMY

Compete for possession of the country's major companies, accumulate income, fight inflation, form political parties and even be elected Prime Minister.

Poleconomy reflects the way Government, finance and Industry interact when private enterprise operates within a system of parliamentary democracy.
Poleconomy is all about winning and losing power, both political and financial. Each player becomes both a tycoon and a politician.

As a tycoon, he buys and sells some of the largest companies and many well-known products in Great Britain, invests in insurance, buys bonds and makes take-over bids. He faces the perils of inflation and commercial disaster. His profits are taxed by the Government.

As a politician, he is a member of Parliament. Whether as a member of the Government or Opposition depends on an election. He could be appointed Prime Minister. His decisions will then affect the financial destiny of every player on the board.

The winner is the player who, at the end of the game, has accumulated the most valuable assets, based on a number of criteria.

A clever game interweaving politics with industry and finance...great for those studying business & economics! What is particularly interesting is the reference to, and detail on, a number of major UK companies of the 1980's and their logos and advertising material.

This is all genuine 1980 business information.
