I originally purchased a 4 pack of these radios from Argos and ended up using 2 and keeping 2 in brand new unused and pristine condition. I am now selling the 2 new radios - under separate listings.

Based on my experiences of the 2 radios I used (which are not the ones for sale) I found the performance of these radios to be absolutely amazing with fantastic build quality. Previously I did find out who the original equipment manufacturer was who made the radio internals for Argos and I think it was Motorola – but please do not quote me and it would be worthwhile checking this out for yourself.

These radios take qty 3 ‘AAA’ batteries (single use) and I have never tried to use re-chargeables. From the bottom of the radio to the tip of the antenna it is 11cm and approx 5cm at the widest part. These radios are perfect for holiday use and/or for the children.

The build quality is very solid. The receive volume is really loud at maximum with very little distortion and you have 38 CTCSS and a call tone. I got very good battery life, but this would depend upon the batteries you use. Each radio still has the protective screen film on.

I must stress you could pay a lot more money and not get anything better.
