 Amalgamated Press/Fleetway's colourful Jack and Jill and stablemate Playhour comics and annuals were a treat for younger children from 1955 until their sad demise in the 1980s. 'Playhour Annual 1963' is from its heyday, with lavish alternate full-colour and bi-colour stories including traditional favourites like Mr Toad, Bunny Cuddles, Sonny and Sally, Pixie Pip and Mimi and Marmy and a rare outing for Sooty.

On offer is a good, complete, uncreased copy with a bright clean cover that has some corner bumping and a full spine that just has obvious repair of the top half inch; internally the annual is clean apart from one colouring-in and traces of pencil 'join-the dots'. This attractive collectable measures 11" x 8" and with packaging weighs over 500g.
