You are bidding on plans to make a cider press for crushing all the juice out of apples.  All materials can be got from any builders merchant, or more expensively, B&Q type places  You also need a car jack.  Car jacks live in your boot, or can be had from a scrappie for pence.  Allows you to press gallons of juice in minutes. I happily fill a nine gallon barrel in under 12 minutes from the one in the picture.

Full instructions on assembly, use and cider making are supplied, so at this time of year, gather those windfalls and make yourself some free cider. It'll be ready for Christmas!

I've made this press. I can provide help with making the cider, crushing and pulping apples and so on. Best on eBay. Avoid imitations from people who've never actually used the press. I've used this press myself.

Contains information how to convert it into a cheese press. Works beautifully for cider or juice from apples, pears, grapes, etc.

Stands about five foot high, and two and a half wide, but collapses down for easy storage.

Rest assured these are tried and tested plans, I own one of Hereford's oldest orchards and we use these on a regular basis to make apple juice and cider.

Our 9 gallon barrels fill in around 12 mins, so the results are FAST AND THE QUALITY IS SMOOTH AND CRISP. Longer pressing times can badly affect the taste.

As stated full instructions on assembly are included, cider making information and correct usage and important tips and pointers are also included.

This is the time of year to collect up all of those apples and put them to good use.

A: I'm not sure. I've made them from oak, which is expensive, but something to leave your kids, and from cheap pine, which cuts the cost, but won't last as long.

 Q: how much do you estimate it cost for all the materials to make the cider press?
A: I think, last year, when I was making them and selling as a kit, I think all the wood and the bolts came to under a tenner. Car jack is extra, of course, but you prbably have one of those you can borrow.
