PIECE OF ANTIQUE HARVEY NICHOLS PAISLEY LINEN

This is a beautiful piece of medium weight pure linen designed by Harvey Nichols of Knightsbridge, London. I think it dated to around 1900 - 1920. It is really subtle, with lovely paisley and decorative floral motifs in pale apricots, greenish & blueish greys and burgundy on a pale cream background.
It has come from a damaged curtain panel. This piece is in good condition, nice and strong, just gently faded to perfection! It would be lovely for small upholstery projects or cushion/pillow fronts.
It measures 53" by 33" or 1.34m by 84cms. thank you for looking.

I am an obsessive collector of beautiful fabric and other textiles, I love pattern, colour and texture, and this is reflected in the stock I buy. I love the 'shabby chic' look where the patina of age and use are celebrated, as well as the more utilitarian Shaker style and the pretty country cottage look, and always carry stock that would work well with these types of interiors.
I source antique fabrics, linens, lace, embroideries, passementerie trims, ribbons, gold and silver metal threads and much much more. I have a fondness for French textiles, and you will find plenty here. I also look out for wonderful antique and vintage curtains, they have so much more character than newly bought ones.
