One of the best executive scooters around, this X9 500cc SL has enough oomph to take you where you want to go, both in style and comfort. Optional extras including electric heated handle grips, and the official Piaggio 45lt top-box. This was purchased as a second machine (see picture showing both) and and as a result has had very little use - the shown mileage is a genuine 7,637 (as of 11/06/2008) and the bike has no known faults, Piaggio replaced the speedo cluster under warranty (see photo) 2 years ago and this is of the new white design. The bodywork is in geat condition, only a few minor scuffs that could be easily removed with the right tools. A brand new battery was fitted in March 2008, and whilst the exhaust is presently OK, this will me needing replacing at some stage. A small scratch on the windscreen (caused by a stone) is visible on the plastic windscreen, but again this can be polished out with care. Supplied with a side and electric assisted centre stand, the latter has been known to work intermittently as it prefers to be used often, otherwise it performs as it should. The on-board FM radio/intercom system is supplied with two NEW headsets for installing in your own helmet(s). An additional lead to allow an MP3 player to play through the bike intercom systems was also installed. The colour - whilst controversial - is perhaps the best safety feature, as it makes the bike stand out and the rider seen by other motorists. The bike has been regularly maintained by the official Piaggio dealership and has always been garaged when not used.

Reason for sale? Space - as a back up machine it really needs to be in regular use to blow the cobwebs off it - and is taxed and MoTd until 1st July, I'd rather it was used than stored. The X9 was originally registered in Northern Ireland and bears a number plate that hides the bike's year of first registration, so this will help it retain it's value - the number plate alone is worth £450, and will be sold with the bike at no additional charge.

Any inspection is invited and most welcome - it can be viewed in North Glasgow. Distance would be no object for delivery and would be happy to negotiate to deliver it to the successful bidder. Payment of a £100 deposit would be required by PayPal within 3 days of sale to secure the purchase, with the balance being due in cash on delivery/collection. A completed UK V5 document Registered Keeper transfer form MUST be signed by the buyer before the vehicle is handed over. A full bill of sale detailing the transaction will also be provided. The bike will be provided with BOTH sets of keys (ignition and top box), and the Piaggio 'brown' master key to work the factory-fitted immobiliser. All stated descriptions are given honestly, and a full refund will be provided if the bike is not as described.
