Photographica is the UKs largest annual camera collectors fair - this year is the 24th. There will be up to 200 stalls selling (and buying) photographic equipment from wood and brass to modern usuable and classic film cameras ,lenses, accessories, literature, books and images - even some digital cameras are now collectable. Usually a good fair to buy cheap film and obtain hard to get batteries.

With the £ at a low value against the Euro and other currencies it is expected that buyers will descend on the fair from Europe and Japan to take advantage of the current low £ exchange rate and sellers should have a good day.

It is being held on Sunday 18th May at the Royal Horticultural Society's Lawrence Hall, Greycoat Street (off Rochester Row), Victoria. SW1. Doors open from 10am-4.30pm and the admission is only £5.

Why not have a day out with the family as the hall is only a few minutes from Victoria and Pimlico stations.  There are many nearby tourist sites for the family to visit while you search for that elusive item to complement your equipment , or get a new outfit at a very reasonable cost?  You not only are able to handle the items and haggle with the seller but unlike online sites you can check the item before parting with your money and are not left with the problem of sending it back and (hopefully) getting a refund.

There is no London congestion charge and parking restrictions do not apply on Sunday so that you can park in the surrounding streets.
