POSTAL PRICES

Our preferred postal service is Parcelforce as this is a trackable insured service.

All Royal Mail items (including all items for Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland) will be sent 1^st Class Recorded where possible or Standard Parcels Service (with proof of posting).

Our postal prices are set by weight plus a small nominal amount towards the cost of packaging. Please be aware that the Recorded Service costs an additional 72p per item in addition to the standard postal cost. We have estimated that it costs at least 50p per item to cover the packaging.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SALE

All our items are described in good faith and to the best of our knowledge. We aim to provide good customer service in relation to all our buyers however due to some issues that have arisen in the past please read our terms of sale:

·         All our items are sent using either Royal Mail or Parcelforce. We always obtain proof of posting.

·         All “Buy it now” items are post only as they are wrapped immediately after photographing.

·         All items stated as “collection only” must be collected within seven days auction end unless agreed in advance and paid for in full. These items must be collected in person by yourself or nominee. We do not allow third party courier collections or wrap items for an agent collection.

·         We endeavour to despatch items the next working day (Mon-Fri) after payment received but always within two working days.

·         All our items are security marked.

LOST/DELAYED ITEMS                                                                            

·         Please ensure you leave enough time before contacting us for your parcel to arrive.

DAMAGED ITEMS

·         In the unfortunate event (very rare as we ensure our items are well packed) of the item being damaged in transit, please ensure that you keep the original packaging.

·         Please email us and we will provide you with the return address and return the item to us with a description of the damage and the original packaging. (We need the packaging to pursue a claim with the Post Office)

·         The return postage must be at your, the buyer ,costs however  upon receipt and inspection of goods we will  endeavour to offer a refund on this as well as your original purchase cost. (Please note the return postage we will pay will be no more than the original postage charged by us). Please ensure you obtain a proof of posting for your end,

ENGINE / GEARBOX 28 DAY GUARANTEE CONDITIONS

One of our most frequent questions relates to the “guarantees” on engines and gearboxes. All our parts are sold in “good faith” which are tested (as far as is practical) and have been removed from good quality accident damaged vehicles. We do not sell high mileage parts (in excess of 100k) or parts that we would not be happy to use/fit ourselves. We have now decided to offer a limited 28 day guarantee on our used engines and gearboxes subject to the following conditions:

1.        The 28 day guarantee starts at the point of sale (i.e. auction end time) and not at the point where you have it fitted or start using the vehicle/item.

2.        We accept no responsibility for parts that are no fitted by a reputable garage/mechanic, qualified technician and not fitted to manufactures requirements using the correct lubricants etc. (proof of receipt may be required)

3.        We do not pay for any consequential costs incurred by the buyer i.e. collection/transportation costs; labour or fitting charges; recovery charges or any other charges incurred by you, the buyer, as a result of a failure of item supplied. These are standard for the supply of second-hand parts.

4.        We offer no guarantee on parts being sold on or passed to a third party.

5.        We do not offer a direct money-back guarantee unless we cannot supply a replacement like-for-like part within 14 days of initial contact being made. It is the buyer responsibility to collect the replacement part and if requested return the original unit. With regard to replacement engines they are supplied minus all ancillaries, wiring, sensors etc that may have been included with the original sale and these parts are subject to any guarantee.

6.        Warranty is not offered in relation to use on a private hire vehicle or taxi.

Having said all this, please buy our item with confidence as we have not encountered any previous problems with gearboxes and engines already sold. We price our items very competitively but feel as our volume increases we need to clarify our position with regard to these items.

OTHER ISSUES

·         In the unfortunate event that you have misread our description or have bought the incorrect product, please contact us and we may consider a refund of the item (not including postage costs) however in practice it would normally be more beneficial for you to list the item on Ebay yourself.

·         All other issues not listed above, will be dealt with in a professional and courteous manner and we will do all we can to assist your query.
