This book is "Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens," by J. M. Barrie, with Twenty-Four Drawings by Arthur Rackham. Printed by T. and A. Constable, Printers to His Majesty at the Edinburgh University Press. Published by Hodder and Stoughton, London. There is no printing date present but the book is circa 1912. It comes with original dustjacket, is a presentation copy, and this is blindstamped just below gilt decoration to front board. The book is bound in green hardback binding, with central gilt decoration as mentioned above to front board. and gilt lettering to spine. Each colour plate is with captioned tissue guard. Containing 125 pages, with dimensions of 8.5" x 6.5" x 1" thick, and it weighs 550g unpacked.
The condition is good, only blemishes to the book are slightly bumped bottom right front corner, a few small areas of light fading to edge and bottom corner of front board, and some foxing/spotting scattered here and there, and there is an example of this in bottom picture provided below. Otherwise the book is in very good order, with no splitting or weakness to inner or outer hinges, text block is firm and secure also with no missing, detached, or loose pages, all tissue guards are present and attached, and there are no rips or tears present. The dustjacket is marked in places, has a few small areas of loss to extremities, and there is a 2" tear to bottom of front cover.
