Now this is really something! The 4th tape compilation from the Swedish indiepop fanzine PET SOUNDS. All volumes were limited to a mere 50-90 copies only, which makes them virtually impossible to find...
Vol.4 includes mod-fave track "Don't Say No!" from THE GIRLS (only available on a promo single released in 91), also some really obscure but equally interesting tracks from PSYCHO TRIP (pay no attention to the ridiculous band name – this is a true pop gem very similar to Stevepops and early more poppy Wagon – they were a great live act too), DREAM (a track most certainly from the recording session that was meant to be their full length debut for Ceilidh, but unfortunately the band quit before the recordings were finished), MEAT BOX (funny band that used to perform in Disney face masks – sounds a bit like a twee mixture of Ned's Atomic Dustbin and Red Hot Chili Peppers!) and a very early recording from PLEASUREHOUSE (long before they signed SNAP/SOAP and later A West Side Fabrication). The tracks from TAPIRERNA was recorded on Pet Sounds very own club night at Uranium in Gothenburg (one of ther very first gigs, long before they signed their first record deal – this is lovely and very underrated Swedish pop. Very melodic, naive and slightly twee. The track "Rymmare" was never to be found on their later recordings. The same line-up used to be called Camouflage a couple of years earlier).
