The Impact50T is one of Turbosound's longest running architectural installation loudspeakers, discontinued in 2008 to make way for an updated Impact range. The 'T' model is fitted with a tapped 100volt line transformer with voltage taps at 60 watts, 30 watts and 15 watts, and it is intended for use in distributed systems to avoid resistive losses in long cable runs, although the transformer can easily be by-passed for low impedance use with any regular power amplifier provided you have very basic electronics knowledge (screwdriver and soldering iron required). Each speaker is supplied with a fully adjustable wall bracket for wall mounting. Connectors are spring-loaded terminals. Headline spec is as follows:

Transformer removal and conversion to low impedance (if required)
1. Disassemble the loudspeaker by removing four recessed screws on the rear half
2. Carefully prise the two halves of loudspeaker apart
3. Remove the four wires from the input panel going to the INPUT of the transformer
4. Remove the two wires from the OUTPUT of the transformer that go into the crossover PCB
5. Discard the transformer
6. Attach the two cables still attached to the crossover PCB directly to the common and one of the positive terminals on the input panel
7. Re-assemble and test
