PAIR OF LARGE ALUMINIUM DECK CLEATS 

A very useful pair of solid cast aluminium deck cleats suitable for use on a yacht or boat or even just for impressive decoration. They measure 10” (25.5cm) in length and 3 ½” (9cm) in width and are 4” (10cm) high. The bases are 6 ½” (16.5cm) by 3 ½” (9cm) and have four screw holes. They have a polished mahogany central decorative plug and one is marked ‘APV ALPAX’ in a raised cartouche with ‘1939’.  The other is marked ‘APV OTD 424’ and ‘1942’ all in a raised oval cartouche. Other than these two, different, marks they are identical and weigh almost 3lbs (1.3kg) each. Both are in excellent, undamaged condition.
