I researched the market and found that an American company has been producing this sealer for the past 35 years and had supplied the engine re-building industry with it. This product worked for me.
It has proven to be so good, that they now supply it as a stand-alone product to cure most hairline cracks in engine blocks and heads, without the need to strip out the engine and re-build it. This product works on all water cooled engines cast or aluminum.

The company has been importing Irontite products for 30 years for the automotive industry and it is only in the past few years that Irontite has moved into the retail business.
It's very easy to use, all you need to do is add it to clean water in the system, no anti-freeze, this is very important. I recommend using a radiator flush first, these are available from all motor accessories like Halfords etc. You drive around for a couple of days to allow Irontite to find its way into all areas of the engine, then you need to drain the water out completely and leave overnight, this allows the Irontite to harden into a ceramic seal. You can then fill up with your usual water/anti-freeze mix.
Unlike other products this is a permanent repair and does not need to be re-done if you change your coolant. It is ceramic based and so can withstand the heat and stresses of a modern engine.
THIS PRODUCT WILL WORK WITH ANY WATER COOLED CAST IRON OR ALUMINUIM ENGINE, IT IS DESIGNED TO REPAIR CRACKS UPTO 0.5 MM WIDE.
