A 63-page Osprey (Aircraft of the Aces series) SB book entitled IMPERIAL JAPANESE NAVY ACES OF WORLD WAR II. The outcome of the Pacific War was heavily influenced by the results of naval battles between the Imperial Japanese fleet and the US Navy. One of the key elements was Japan's large fighter component, which gained experience over Manchuria, China and Mongolia in the late 1930s. Flying A5Ms, at least 21 pilots achieved "acedom" securing air superiority for the invaders. Manufacturer Mitsubishi derived much from these campaigns, producing one of the best fighters of the war, the A6M Zero-Sen, Navy pilots proved to be highly skilled when engaged by the Allied forces, Pacific. Pilots like Nishizawa, Sugita and Sakai scoring more than 60 kills apiece. Following a series of key carrier battles, navy pilots began to operate predominantly fromshore bases in New Guniea, the Phillipines and finally the Japanese home islands. New fighter types like the Raiden, Shiden/Shiden-kai, Gekko and later versions of the Zero only helped delay the inevitable defeat, and hundreds of naval pilots paid the ultimate price in the final months of the war, as Kamikazes.

NO TIME WASTERS PLEASE – The vast majority of eBay members that we trade with are 100% genuine and committed to following through with their purchases. There are however, some people that seem to live in a complete fantasy dreamworld (thinking they are members of the SAS, Parachute Regiment, VC or Gallantry Medal Winners, VIP’s, Celebrities etc), OR – they just bid on things “For a Laugh” and then string you along with a long list of excuses for non-payment! Please note that we will not tolerate this type of “bidder”, and do NOT want the hassle of trading with them. We believe it's only fair to expect payment within 14 days from the auction's finish, and would encourage buyers to ensure payment by this date. We WILL file a “Non-Paying-Bidder” Alert Form if payment is not received, and we WILL leave negative feedback and report time-wasters to eBay. If you have any problems with fulfilling this criteria PLEASE DO NOT BID ON OUR AUCTIONS. We are sorry to have to add this to my listing, but we’ve found it necessary - as it seems there are a small proportion of people that come onto eBay with the sole purpose of wanting to ruin things for everyone else. Good luck, and we look forward to trading with you in the near future.
