Original pre cbs 1961 Fender Strat Stratocaster Neck

Hi guy’s here we have a rare opportunity to own a genuine USA pre cbs maple strat neck removed from my late uncles 1961 Stratocaster. I have had this neck for 10 years and it has been professionally appasied and confirmed as a 58/59 and although the neck is dated 61on the butt, due to it being maple and not rosewood. Apparently it was common practise to use old stock for later guitars.  The neck itself is as straight as a dye with no issues or problems. The fret shows minor signs of wear but has plenty of meat left for a fret dress. It has a very thin neck profile and action to die for, and is one piece maple NOT capped!!!. The neck at some point has had the original kluson’s removed (not by me) and later more reliable machine heads fitted. As you can see from the photo’s it has had a coupe of extra holes drilled on the butt to attach to my uncles lawsuit Tokai body. Apart from these minor points the neck is perfect for the year. None of the problems listed effect playability or visual aesthetics. This neck has actually aged really well and the decal is in very good condition complete with crazing :0).

 So if you have a pre cbs body with a damaged neck this will complete your guitar and make a superb investment (I do have some other parts available so e-mail me) . If you are looking at this neck you know what its worth, they are listed on eBay for around £5500 but I’m being realistic in my auction and starting the bids and £2000 with no reserve. So this auction is only open to serious bidders only and none payers will be dealt with accordingly via the small claims court.( sorry but I’ve had enough of timewasters on other auctions. I will ship but only if the buyer is will to pay full value insurance.
