Captive Beauty was inspired after seeing a caged scarlet macaw looking longingly out from his cage towards the forest, wishing to go there....

The painting size is 12" x 32"

It is painted using Professional quality acrylic paints on a top quality gallery wrapped, deep edge canvas.  It has been varnished to give the colours that extra 'pop'.  It does not need framing and is ready to hang.

Details                                                                                                                                                                                                               

The photo shown here does not really do the painting justice as the details on the face and feathers are so fine.  The branches have been enhanced with pumice gel which give them a realistic texture and feel.  It was completed this Summer (2009)taking approximately 80 hours over a three month period.   It is signed and will be accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity.
