14ft Open canoe

This sale is for plans to build using stitch and tape method for a 14ft open canoe

Using basic materials, these plans and a bit of simple woodwork you will soon be the proud owner of your own hand built canoe. The following instructions will assist you in building this fine craft.

These plans are not the basic flat bottom as you see from the picture it has a nice shape which has less drag on the water. i have completed many river trips and over night trips in this open canoe. It is also very easy to modify as you can see from the other picture i have added larger breasthooks and thinking up the inner and outer gunwales and finally the average cost of the build is around £80-£100 depending types of woods used ie: soft or hard woods, i have built using both not a great deal of difference as the whole canoe is washed in resin making it very strong.

and you will see from my picture the craft can carry all that overnight bivi/camping kit and 2 adults no problems.
