The Bobcat is a 2 seater sportcar made by Onyx near Grimsby.

The kit is based on an MG Metro and has been relatively simple to build.

The donor car was in good condition and had only done 46000 miles and ran well.

It is a unique looking car and draws a lot of interest.

The car is 99% complete but still needs to go through it's SVA. Plenty have already done so and Onyx can help with any last minute adjustments.

All that needs to be fitted is the fuel filler cap and pipe, (the picture of the boot shows where it could go) and some nut protectors, both are supplied with the car to finish it.

The engine runs well and has a 4 branch steel manifold and the carb has a pancake filter. It has a carbon type dash with racing type starter button, all electrics work. The nose removes very easily for excellent access to the engine, the mid section comes off with 8 small bolts. The car has been full built to the manufacturers instructions.

All it needs is a weeknd of tlc and some patience to get it through the SVA. The only problems I know of on the car other than the few bits mentioned above is that the fuel pump appears to cut out occaisionally, otherwise it starts and runs very well. (£15 would sort this out). I will try and sort the fuel pump and fit the last few bits before the auction closes.

The bodywork is pretty good, there is one small chip that can be easily repaired, the interior is all fully carpetted.

I have all of the original paperwork and VIN plate to allow it to be registered under the original number rather than a Q plate.

These are fun and very quick cars, very suited to hill climb I am told. I have spent approx, £3000 and have run out of time and space to get it finally finished for the summer.

I have a trailer so it could be delivered if you pay the diesel cost.
