OLYMPUS PEN-D half-frame 35mm COMPACT CAMERA With LEATHER CASE.
Olympus specialised in small cameras, and made a wide range of half-frame 35mm models. These gave high-quality pictures and twice the number of frames from a roll of film. The Pen D dates from 1962-66 and featured a fast F Zuiko 3.2cm f1.9 coated lens and a built-in selenium exposure meter. It's a very solidly-made little camera, with all metal construction. The Copal leaf shutter is speeded 1/8ths to 1/500th plus B, and is in full working order - speeds look to be right, though accuracy not guaranteed. The meter is working, and appears to be correct, though again accuracy not guaranteed. The lens looks clean and free from clouding and fungus. Lens cap included. Overall cosmetic condition is very good. The chrome is clean and free from pitting and rub/shine marks, and the body covering is intact and unworn. There are no dings or dents, but the left hand strap lug (the one opposite the lug used for the wrist strap) looks to be pushed in slightly - see close up photo. Comes complete with original wrist strap and leather pouch case. Ser No 198152.
