Here's a VERY NICE Olds flugelhorn. This is one of the great American flugels ever built. The Olds company was well known for the great playing characteristics of their top-level instruments, and hte Olds flugel is one of the most sought after of these instruments. The bell is made of the proprietary Olds alloy, which they called Rey-O-Loy at the time. I'm not certain of the composition, but I believe it is a rose brass with some level of nickel content. These horns are very responsive, and have a great big sound. This horn is in very good condition. There are a few minor dings, but nothing serious. Valves are excellent, and this horn plays great. Pics tell the rest of the story!
