This book Old Pontypridd in Photographs is in excellent condition, it is hard back in board complete with unclipped dust jacket. It is a first edition published by Stewart Williams in 1977. It is 10” tall by 7 ½” wide. It contains
180 photographs, of Old Pontypridd & District, Industry, Disasters, Personalities, Transport, Sport, Town & District etc. A fascinating collection, of photographs. Perhaps the most unusual ones in this type of publication are those of Dr. William Price who was one of the earliest promoters of cremation. He is shown on his death bed and his outdoor cremation on 31 January 1893 is also illustrated. Black and white period photographs of all aspects of life, from a collection held at the Pontypridd Public Library.
