A very large impressive and rare mahogany bracket or shelf clock made by the German clockmakers Junghans around 1900.Has a very unusual combination of a ting-tang strike on the quarters and a Westminster chime on the hour.It strikes two rods in succession (i.e ting-tang) once at a quarter past the hour,twice at half past and three times at a quarter to,then the full Westminster on the hour.The clock has just been serviced and set up,so it is in good working order and keeping good time.Comes with a very old key which I assume is the original.The case is in good order,no woodworm,the narrow wooden frame round the face has been reglued at the bottom and one of the rear feet has been replaced at some time.A very large ,heavy clock measuring 17" high,12" wide and 8" deep.For those buyers a little nervous about buying clocks on Ebay I will include a few helpful hints to assist in setting up clocks and I also offer an after sales help if required.Starting at £125 with no reserve and money back guarantee if not as described.....
