My partner and I bought this pair of wall hangings over fifteen years ago for around 800 pounds at an antiques fair. We just fell for them and they went with our oriental design theme. To me, they look like gold leaf, soap stone and other exotic materials. However, we bought them because we liked them - I am not an expert and am not sure if there is any fundamental value in them.  We have not had them valued.  One hanging depicts what we think is an emporer and other is the empress.  The colours are quite lovely and we have received lots of compliments over the years about them.

Size wise they are 35 1/2" high and 23 1/2" wide. They are quite heavy!

Now our decor has changed and we are selling them as a pair. They would make a terrific gift for anyone who has a flair or passion for the Orient. They are simply stunning. If you want to view, please ring me on 07799 130667.
