Very old, one-of-a-kind brass sculpture of a Peacock purchased in Rajasthan, India, many years ago. Wonderful patina !  The fascinating thing about this piece is that there are two hidden compartments within the sculpture, complete with latches/locks under the ' wings ' and tail feathers... its design is SO ingenious ! The maker's initials " By N. N " in fancy script are etched into the base of the neck. Measures 13 " long and 8 1/2 " tall. We love this item, and had it at home for years as a conversation piece.... but it's time to let go and let someone else enjoy it....
