Obsolete vintage 1980s Grampian Fire Brigade helmet

Here we have a 1980s obsolete fire mans helmet as used in the Grampian Fire Brigade here in the North East of Scotland. This helmet is the traditional, non-plastic variety and is emblazoned with the Grampian Fire Brigade badge on the front while the rest of the helmet is yellow.

Inside a green rim gives way to a red leather cushion for the head. The helmet is stamped "Medium, 57 to 59, 1982"

Condition wise, the outside is somewhat worn. The badge is torn in two places, the protruding top part has worn to canvas and generally the yellow paint is cracked. Inside is excellent. The helmet is still solid and would be excellent with a new coat of paint to the outside.
