This fabulous bronzed figure
depicts a stylized sumo wrestler on a black plinth. The
smooth, sleek lines of this makes this an extremely tactile objet d'art. 
The
figure is depicted in classic Sumo pose, with one leg firmly planted on the floor
and the other lifted horizontally. A loin cloth hangs between his legs and he
sports a top-knot on his head. This
beautiful figure is cast in stunning detail using a process known as resin bronze.
The process bonds a skin of bronze metal powder onto the surface of the resin-cast
model, so when polished it gives a bronze effect to the surface of the casting
and significantly reduces the weight compared with solid or cold-cast bronze.
Beware of those claiming otherwise! The
base is black and lined with a velvet-like felt on the bottom to protect the surface
