ORIGINAL PUG PASTEL painting by well-known professional animal artist Suzanne Le Good.
This lovely original pastel and watercolour painting measures approx. 8 1/4" x 10 3/4" overall. It is painted on brown Daler Rowney Ingres pastel paper. Although I have protected the painting with a fixative, handling the actual surface should be avoided.
It depicts a gorgeous portrait of a pug - his fur accentuated by the soft pastels. I have painted his eyes, and some other parts, in watercolours, where a sharp, clear detail is needed.
For framing, I would suggest a frame at least 12" x 15", with a mount with an aperture of approx 7 1/2" x 10".
As pastel paper is thinner and more flexible than watercolour paper, I will be sending this painting in a rigid postal tube, in a cellophane wrapper. I would suggest removing the painting from the tube upon receipt to allow it to re-flatten.
