An Opportunity to Purchase an Excellent Thwaites & Reed Gravity World Wall Clock

I have for auction a Thwaites and Reed world gravity wall hanging clock in full working order and very nice condition without damage to the wooden backboard or the globe, Thwaites and Reed were established in England in1740 as manufacturing clockmakers being renowned for quality, this clock has the serial number 159 and the date of 1972, the clock operates by using the weight of the globe on a suspension spring, the clock is wound up by raising the globe the spring is then automatically rewound inside the globe and over the period of around one week the globe under its own weight unwinds lower and lower in the photos the clock is around 3 days unwound, the time is read with the Roman numerals on the silvered outer scale against a pointer the scale is adjustable to reset the time (please see other photos) .To give an Idea of size the dimensions are height 29 inches (66cm), Width 4.75 inches (12cm), and Depth 7.5 inches (19cm) the diameter of the globe is 5 inches (12.5cm)all measurements are approximate, this lovely clock is in excellent condition.
