ABOUT THE PAINTING

A beautiful original Folk Art painting depicting a Winter scene in New England by UK artist Sheila Roper.

This 20 x 16 inch (508 x 406 mm) original has been painted using high quality acrylic paints on half-inch stretched canvas with no staples showing. The design continues on the half-inch sides of the painting and is ready to hang without framing if chosen. The finished work has been painted with two coats of matt varnish to provide years of protection, and is signed by the artist.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Sheila (the seller's wife) lives in a small market town in Suffolk, England (UK) where her original work is often found selling at local shows and exhibitions. After a break of several years has picked up her brushes again to produce a series of themed folk art paintings inspired by her travels to New England, USA, where she experienced the beauty of the changing seasons. Sheila has titled this painting "Home in time for Tea" and it features a cold, snowy Winter scene with friends and family returning home from a days tobogganing.
