ORIGINAL COPPER WARMING PAN WITH LONG WOODEN HANDLE I think this is not a reproduction but it is an actual warming pan as used in the late 19th and early 20th century to put hot coals in to warm a bed. No wonder houses burnt down. Talk about health and safety !! However now it is an ornamental object to be hung on the wall. It needs a good polish and will come up wonderfully if this is done, as the interior is shiny and new looking. It may have been lacquered at sometime. The pan measures 10 inches across and the overall length is 33.5 inches plus the string hanging loop. It may be possible the separate the handle for posting out.
