You are bidding on an original 1940’s electrical lighting dolly switch by GEC.

 

The switch is dark brown Bakelite with brass contacts, it is a one way switch and rated at 5 amps AC. The base is 2 ¼ in. diameter.

 

The switch is in ‘as new’ condition and unrestored.  

 

The General Electric Company, England, Great Britain is a recognised premier manufacturer of electrical fittings and equipment and provide the bench mark by which all other manufactured electrical items are measured by electrical engineers.

 

The switch does not comply with any current electrical regulations and is sold for show purposes only.
